Dave Murphy recently fully retired from the retail grocery business, and until 1999 was involved in the sales and marketing end of the Craft Beer industry (Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, Samuel Adams) which he also retired from that year.  David and his wife started a private tutoring business when they moved up to Petaluma--literally a 'mom and pop' operation. She passed away three years ago and he is keeping the tutoring business alive both for extra income and because he enjoys it so much.  He won't ever 'retire' from doing this. He has some experience in radio and TV through college, Stanislaus State and San Jose State: Voice and Diction, Acting, and Voice Over classes. BA in Social Sciences ('72) and Masters in history at Sonoma State ('03).
