VERNE and HELEN JAY
Verne and Helen Jay were prolific New York-based freelance writers of radio scripts in the 1940s, the Golden Age of radio -- two for "The Shadow," and one each for "Mr. and Mrs. North," "Famous Jury Trials," and "Grand Central Station." Later, Verne Jay was an on-staff continuity writer at WLW-NBC in Cincinnati. He co-authored a TV show for "Philip Morris TV Playhouse" in 1954 with then-unknown writer, Rod Serling.
